Take part in the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta with over 40 other ships and enjoy the crew parties and celebrations with sailors from all over the world. The sailing schedule for 2017 is as follows: Bilbao – Porto-Sines – Hamilton – Boston – Gulf of Saint Lawrence – Quebec – Halifax – Le Havre – Bilbao, with other ports en route (including the Canary Islands and Cape Verde). This trip is the perfect opportunity for people who consider taking a gap year and want to make it as adventurous as possible and become seasoned sailors in 2017.On board you participate in the daily working of the ship alongside professional seamen, standing lookout, manning the helm, helping in the galley, hoisting sail and voluntarily have the chance to climb the rigging/mast. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Bilbao is a port in the northern tip of the Iberian peninsula, founded in the 14th century. Later on it became an important commercial hub for the Basque region. Today, Bilbao is a vigorous service city. The iconic Bilbao Guggenheim museum is a must-see. Also take some time to walk around the city centre and visit the Exteberria Park. Around the city you can do many outdoor activities such as rock climbing, hiking and surfing.
