Eye of the Wind:
Lanzarote (ES) - Fuerteventura (ES) - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ES)

14 January - 21 January 2017

Canarian Island voyage! Enjoy a break from the winter in the Canary Islands. Board the Eye of the Wind in Arrecife on a volcanic island of Lanzarote, then set sail to Fuerteventure, to end up in Las Palmas the Gran Canaria. Enjoy the nice winds and sunny weather, take long walk along the beaches and swims in blue ocean, where dolphins are known to show up and say Hi to sailors. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Lanzarote is one of 7 main islands in the Spanish Canary Islands Archipelago on the Atlantic Ocean. It is often referred to as a "volcano island". For the evidence of ongoing volcanic activity visit the Timanfaya National Park and Cueva de los Verdes. Go swimming, snorkelling or windsurfing in the blue waters or relax on the beach, or visit the cactus garden. You can also take a stroll through one of the small towns and try the local wine.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a cosmopolitan town, the shared capital (with Santa Cruz) of the Canary Islands. Situated on the ‘wet’ north side, the city feels more authentic than the touristy places on the ‘dry’ south side. Las Palmas offers beaches, cheap shopping, culture and excitement with a night life, primarily in the district of Vegueta. Its culture is decidedly Spanish, mixed with influences from all over the world, as Las Palmas’ port has been in operation for centuries.
