TS Maybe was built in 1929 in Amsterdam, and was owned by the Rietschoten family for many years spent sailing around the world. In 1956, she made history by participating in the inaugural International Tall Ships Race. Today, she is one of the few vessels from that first race still competing in the Tall Ship Races.
In 1962, a Swiss family acquired TS Maybe, and she primarily sailed the Mediterranean. Throughout the 1970s, she frequently crossed the Atlantic between the West Indies and the Mediterranean. During the 1980s, she sailed through the Panama Canal and along the East Coast of the USA to Canada.
Sold to her current owners in 1989, TS Maybe underwent a complete restoration, returning to sailing in 2007. In 2011, her original gaff rig was restored. Today, TS Maybe regularly competes in Tall Ships Races and Regattas and introduces young people to the world of sailing on their first adventures.
Below deck on TS Maybe, you’ll find three main areas designed for comfort and functionality.
Located at the front, the forepeak features a 6-berth cabin and a shower room.
The central midships area includes the galley, saloon, four additional cabins, and another shower room. The saloon and galley are perfect for relaxing, singing sea shanties in the evenings, and enjoying delicious meals, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all on board.
Situated at the back is the dog house, which houses the navigation and radio equipment, engine room, and sleeping quarters for two crew members.
All cabins are equipped with twin bunks, provided bedding, a wash basin, and ample storage space to ensure a comfortable stay throughout your voyage.
