History

The Santa Maria Manuela, a Sea Training Ship with a rich history, was originally launched in 1937 on the river Tagus in Lisbon. It played a significant role in the renowned cod fishing campaigns until the early 1990s. Following years of neglect, her hull lay nearly abandoned in the port of Aveiro until a private initiative by Pascoal & Filhos, S.A. led to her extensive rebuilding from 2007 to 2010. This meticulous process revived the vessel, ensuring her legacy could continue. Recently renovated, she now offers enhanced comfort below deck, providing a more enjoyable experience for all who come aboard.

Accommodation

With her impressive length of nearly 70 meters, the Santa Maria Manuela offers modern comforts for up to 44 passengers. Accommodation includes 11 cabins for 2 passengers, 4 cabins for 4 passengers, and 1 shared cabin for 6 passengers.

Recently renovated, all cabins are equipped with air conditioning and feature a private shower and toilet for added convenience. The ship’s common areas are cozy and inviting, providing the perfect space to unwind, socialize over drinks, and forge new friendships.
