Szczecin (PL) - Copenhagen (DK)

04 August - 11 August 2024

Treasures of the Baltic Sea 1. Explore the Baltic aboard sailing ship Saeftinghe, sailing from Szczecin in Poland to enchanting Copenhagen, Denmark. Step on board during the last day of this year’s Tall Ships Races, and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Get a good night’s sleep, and then leave the port next morning in a spectacular Parade of Sail – with a VIP view right from the water! Set sail for Denmark, making stops in Sweden. Enjoy the beauty of the Scandinavian coastline, get carried away by the wind and discover the magic of the Baltic Sea!
This is a family-friendly journey open to all Windseekers over 5 years of age (participants aged 5-15 must be accompanied by an adult).

Ports

Szczecin in North-Western Poland has a deep commitment to sail training. Discover the Underground City Trails: a network of bunkers from WWII with their unique atmosphere. If you're more of an outdorsy type, take a canoe along the Odra river or explore Bukowe Hills which hide the ruins of old bridges and are home to numerous boars and deer. Visit one of many museums or the Castle of Pomeranian Dukes or the beautiful rose gardens.

Copenhagen, Denmark's clean, modern capital will win you over with its many districts, each with its distinctive character. Copenhagen has an abundance of water and many parks, so rent a bicycle and explore the city! You'll find architecture old and new, lovely waterfronts and squares, fountains, and of course the friendly inhabitants of the city. Copenhagen has a lot of great restaurants and bars, and in the summer plays host to several festivals. In the winter, its museums are worth a visit.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
