Alexander von Humboldt II:
Aarhus (DK) - Travemünde (DE)

25 May - 29 May 2015

Windseekers! Get ready for a short but sweet stint of Sail Training on the Baltic Sea, with the tall ship Alexander von Humboldt II. Together with your fellow sail trainees you will journey from Aarhus to Travemünde, a route that has been in use since the age of the Vikings. Learn from the crew how to sail the ship, and help set sails, be part of the watch system, and do whatever needs done to make Alexander von Humboldt II perform the best she can. Make new friends, visit new places, and get your sea legs. Follow in the footsteps of the old merchants and experience the sailing life on board of this Tall Ship. This journey is a great opportunity to cram a whole adventure in just five days. Open to all ages, minimum age 14 years.

Ports

Aarhus is a port on the northeast coast of Jutland, Denmark. One of its main attractions is the open air museum Den Gamle By, where historical buildings from all over Denmark have been relocated. But the 13th century cathedral is also well worth a visit. Aarhus is a relaxed place with enough to see and do, and its city centre is a favourite with Tall Ship crews who visit the city regularly. West of the city you’ll find lakes and forests, perfect for a hike.
