Alexander von Humboldt II:
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ES) - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ES)

27 December 2015 - 03 January 2016

Follow in the footsteps of Christopher Columbus and discover the waters around the Canary Islands. This Journey will be a whole new world for your senses. Feel the winds, experience the nature surrounding you, and taste the freedom. Seize the opportunity to set foot on several islands and sample their culture, before you set sail again in search of new adventures. Relax in the warmth of the subtropical climate and celebrate the new year with your fellow ship mates. Navigate between the islands and end your Journey in Las Palmas. Open to all ages, minimum age 14 years.

Ports

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a cosmopolitan town, the shared capital (with Santa Cruz) of the Canary Islands. Situated on the ‘wet’ north side, the city feels more authentic than the touristy places on the ‘dry’ south side. Las Palmas offers beaches, cheap shopping, culture and excitement with a night life, primarily in the district of Vegueta. Its culture is decidedly Spanish, mixed with influences from all over the world, as Las Palmas’ port has been in operation for centuries.
