Anne-Margaretha:
Ushuaia (AR) - Ushuaia (AR)

18 December 2017 - 11 January 2018

NO PLACES AVAILABLE ANYMORE. During your stay in Antarctica we will have the most possible landings ashore. The day-program itinerary depends on the weather and drifting ice which may force us to change our plans. With our 2 dinghies you can explore all places with the whole group; so no waiting times! You get to be a part of the on-board team, a caring community of experienced and novice sailors who learn navigation, steering, setting sails etc. to the extent they wish. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Programme Outline

Ports

Ushuaia is commonly regarded as the most southern city in the World or 'El Fin del Mundo'. This Argentinian port is known as a starting point for expeditions to Antarctica. The city was originally built up around a prison in the early 20th century, but today tourists come to Ushuaia to visit the national park Tierra del Fuego, go skiing in the nearby mountains, or sail the Beagle canal. Ushuaias’ windy subpolar climate serves to reinforce the notion that you’re at the ‘end of the world’.
