Christian Radich:
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ES) - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ES)

04 January - 11 January 2017

Join Christian Radich on her week`s voyage around the Canaries. What can be more delightful than a voyage around the Canaries in early January: it gives you a taste of summer and makes for a good start of the year. Have a wonderful week away from everyday life where you can enjoy the weather, wind and sea! The Canary Islands offer stable winds from the north and excellent sailing conditions. We are planning a stop, perhaps in a place we have not been before. The Captain and his crew have sailed here before, so we know the waters well. Everyone can sail with Christian Radich. Sailing with us is a positive challenge – both physically and mentally – and it is a unique opportunity to experience one of the world’s most famous windjammers. On board you will find new friends from various countries. As a trainee, you will participate in the duties on board according to your own condition and interests. Open for all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a cosmopolitan town, the shared capital (with Santa Cruz) of the Canary Islands. Situated on the ‘wet’ north side, the city feels more authentic than the touristy places on the ‘dry’ south side. Las Palmas offers beaches, cheap shopping, culture and excitement with a night life, primarily in the district of Vegueta. Its culture is decidedly Spanish, mixed with influences from all over the world, as Las Palmas’ port has been in operation for centuries.
