From the Mediterannean to the Atlantic: a short Winter break. This short, but spectacular journey will brining you from Alicante to Lisbon, via the Strait of Gibraltar, which means that in just 5 days you will experience sailing on the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, and pass the famous place where Africa and Europe almost meet (the closest points are only 13 km apart!) Then you will set your course for North, leaving Spain behind and sailing along the coast of Portugal to its eclectic capital in Lisbon. You can spend an additional night on board and explore the city (fees apply).
Open to Windseekers aged 15-80.
Pre-night and after-night possible: spend longer on board for additional fee (prices depend on the cabin.)

Ports

Alicante is a port city on the Costa Blanca, Mediterranean coast of Spain. Climb up to the 16-century Castle of Santa Barbara for a great view over the city and take a stroll through the lively Explanada de Espana with its many cafes and restaurants. Visit Barrio Santa Cruz for a taste of authentic local culture and if you love everything sailing-related don't miss the Volvo Ocean Race Museum.

Lisbon has a long and varied history as a major trading hub, much of which is still visible in the old city centre. Discover Alfama, the old quarters with its many old alleys, steps and the Lisbon Cathedral. The famous tram line 28 will get you there – an experience in and of itself. And be sure to check out a fado concert if you want to learn about saudade – loss, yearning and comfort, all rolled into one. Emotions that all seafarers will get to know one way or the other…

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

 

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee.
