Eendracht:
Azores (PT) - Rotterdam (NL)

21 March - 04 April 2025

Sail the Eendracht from the beautiful Azores to Rotterdam. Brave the waves of the Atlantic Ocean and the fierce winds; enjoy beautiful skies and breath-taking sunrises and sunsets, and the stars in the middle of nowhere. Spend some time without cell phone reception, getting to know your crew-mates, and yourself. Steer the Ship towards Europe, and stand on lookout for land before making your way to the Eendracht’s home in Rotterdam.
Open to all Windseekers aged 15-80.

Ports

The Azores are a group of 9 islands in the Atlantic Ocean, west of the Iberian Peninsula, and an autonomous region of Portugal. Sailors and trainees can explore several ports, and many do as part of an Atlantic crossing - but the most famous is Horta, which has a large port and marina. For longer visits, tourists can venture up the numerous volcanic peaks, or try one of many outdoor activities such a whale watching or mountain biking.

Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle and go for a coffee in Hotel New York, the former headquarters of the Holland America Line.

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
