Gallant:
London (GB) - Amsterdam (NL)

03 September - 05 September 2015

Sail with Gallant from Londen-Woolwich to Amsterdam on a short Journey across the North Sea. This port-to-port delivery is perfect for Windseekers with little time and a large appetite for the open sea. While on board, you’ll be a temporary part of the crew, helping out with all aspects of sailing the Gallant through one of the busiest shipping lanes in the World. Take the helm, keep a lookout, pick up the finer points of navigation and marifone use, and set and trim the sails for your optimal course. The helpful crew will teach you all you need to know on this crossing. See the English countryside from the water as you sail down the Thames River, and pass the locks in IJmuiden before arriving in Amsterdam. Open to Windseekers of all ages, minimum age 15 years (from age 12 years at request).

Ports

London is a centre for business, finance, the arts and tourism. As such, the city has something to offer for everyone. But visiting London by ship makes the experience extra special. Go see a play in West End, explore Soho, or take a tourist bus for a sightseeing ride. Go to Hyde Park, close to Buckingham Palace, if the city bustle is a bit much after an ocean voyage. And work on your cultural karma by visiting a few of the many museums. London is so big you’ll need to revisit to see it all!

With more bicycles than people, cycling is an integral part of Amsterdam's DNA. Hop on and see the city like the locals do! Winding waterways, idyllic bridges and historic buildings - one of the most memorable ways to truly see Amsterdam is from the canals. Amsterdam has a full cultural agenda showcasing the very best festivals, nightlife, exhibitions & events, plus there is enough practical tourist info, hotel, museum, excursion & attraction listings, you won't miss a thing!
