Lord Nelson:
Cardiff (GB) - Southampton (GB)

11 June - 16 June 2018

*Places at request* Exploring the South West coast of the UK. Join this trip of a few days on board a very unique Tall Ship. Sail along the beautiful coastline of Cornwall and admire the famous Dorset coast before bringing Lord Nelson to the homeport. Set the sails, man the helm and look out for other vessels. This shorter journey is a perfect taster for anyone who isn’t sure if Tall Ships sailing is the right thing for them but still wants to try. You can also treat it as a little break from the daily routine in the early summer. Open for able-bodied and disabled trainees. Minimum age 16 years. More info: info@windseeker.org The final price may be subject to small changes due to currency exchange rates.

Ports

Cardiff is the Capital city of Wales, located on the south coast of the country. A former industrial city, Cardiff has undergone a remarkable modernisation. The centre contains Cardiff Castle, the lush Bute park and the country's finest shopping arcades. At Cardiff Bay, the Welsh national Assembly sits alongside an array of contemporary and classic architecture - Explore the area in the summer, taking time to relax in one of the many cafes and restaurants.

Southampton, on the shores of the Solent, is the largest port of England. The bustling town offers plenty of distractions, and is known (sometimes reviled) for its brutalist architecture. However, the city hosts a number of fine museums, the Tudor House, and long stretches of medieval walls. Also, the beautiful English countryside is just a short drive away. The yearly Southampton boat show in september should be on any Windseeker's calendar. And don't forget to visit the Isle of Wight!
