Portimao (PT) - Cascais (PT)

24 February - 03 March 2020

Portuguese Explorer. Take a break from winter to join a sailing journey. Step on board the Maybe in Portimao, in southern Portual, and sail all the way to Cascais, a charming fishing town near Lisbon. This voyage is an opportunity to gain miles and experience in offshore sailing in warmer climates and Atlantic waters. For Windseekers of all ages, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Portimão is a Portugese city in the southern region of Algarve. Take a stroll along the Alvor Boardwalk, relax on the white sands of the Praia Da Rocha beach and visit the Museu de Portimao for a little history lesson. You can also take a dolphin watching tour or do one of the multiple offered water sports.

Cascais is a popular port town in Portugal with a large yacht harbor and several sandy beaches in and around town. Surfing, windsurfing, sailing and kitesurfing are popular in the region, and nearby cliffs are a great destination for a hike. The town proper offers everything you need to recuperate from your exertions: restaurants, taverns and all the urban sophistication you might miss when at sea. You can visit Lisbon from here for a day trip, but Cascais itself is also well worth a visit.
