Heading south for the winter. Board Morgenster in her homeport in the Netherlands for a journey of 1500 nautical miles along the coast of Europe. Spend 19 days on board, sailing in the English Channel and across the demanding Bay of Biscay, before reaching nothern Spain and, finally, Portugal. Learn to sail a large Tall Ship, enjoy the company of other trainees and friendly crew, look out for dolphins and have a great adventure! Please keep in mind that this might be a challenging journey with possibly rough conditions. Open to all Windseekers aged 15 and over.

Ports

Den Helder is a beautiful town in the Netherlands, situated at the very tip of the North Holland province. Visit the Marinemuseum to learn more about the country's marine traditions, take a walk in the botanical gardens Oranjerie De Groene Parel Den Helder or admire sealife in the Fort Kijkduin Museum and Aquarium.

Lisbon has a long and varied history as a major trading hub, much of which is still visible in the old city centre. Discover Alfama, the old quarters with its many old alleys, steps and the Lisbon Cathedral. The famous tram line 28 will get you there – an experience in and of itself. And be sure to check out a fado concert if you want to learn about saudade – loss, yearning and comfort, all rolled into one. Emotions that all seafarers will get to know one way or the other…
