Morgenster:
Sete (FR) - Castellon (ES)

01 April - 05 April 2024

Early spring sailing in the Med – to start the season right! Come on board the Morgenster in Sete, on the Mediterranean coast of France. Meet the crew and other guests and participate in the safety briefing before departing on a short trip to Spain. Over the next few days you will sail over the deep blue Med in a 3 watch system. Morgenster has a relative large crew because she is a square rigger, with lots of jobs to get her going. Once she sails it is a very rewarding experience. Reach the Spanish Castellon, having covered 320 nautical miles.
Open to all Windseekers, minimum age 15 years.

Ports

Sete is a beautiful town in the Occitania region of France. Sometimes called the Venice of Languedoc, it is a popular Mediterranean resort. You can hike up the Mont St-Clair for a beautiful view of the town, visiting Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette church on the way. Then visit Musee Paul Valery, with a great permanent collection of art, as well as very interesting exhibits.

Castellon is a region in eastern Spain, with the capital in Castellón de la Plana. Situated on the Mediterranean coast, it offers beautiful beaches, and historical locations. The region is bi-lingual, with both Spanish and Valencian being used as official languages, making for an interesting meeting of cultures.

OTHER JOURNEYS YOU MIGHT LIKE

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
