Oosterschelde:
Porto (PT) - Madeira (PT) - Tenerife (ES)

27 November - 08 December 2025

Alantic sailing adventure. Step on board the Oosterschelde in Portugal and leave Europe behind as you set sail for the open ocean. The crossing to Madeira will take around five days, during which you will sail in a watch system, helping with sails, steering and navigation. After your watches there will be plenty of time left to enjoy a good book, take in the scenery, and revel in the ever-improving weather as you make your way southwest. Reach the stunning Madeira and stretch your legs a little before embarking on the last leg of your voyage: a two-day passage to the Canary Islands. The temperature will continue to rise, and with favorable winds, you can expect smooth sailing, and plenty of wildlife to observe!
This journey is a part of a delivery voyage to Cape Verde. Join multiple legs of this voyage for a 15% discount. You can stay on board in the days in between the sailing legs.
Open to all Windseekers aged 18+. Younger trainees, accompanied by an adult, at request.

Ports

Porto, located on the Costa Verde, is Portugal's second-largest city and a busy port town. Porto's long and varied history has left many beautiful old buildings that you can discover by walking around the 'Ribeira' - the old city centre that is a World Heritage site. City walks can be demanding as Porto is built in the coastal hills, but that also means that each corner offers a new, exciting vista! And you can always cool your heels on Porto's rustic terraces and vibrant street side cafés.

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands, and a popular tourist destination. One of the largest Carnival festivals is hosted here, and for tourists there is a lot to see and do. But the island is large enough to escape mass tourism, so let its natural beauty seduce you to a hike or a drive around the island. You'll find mountains to climb, cliffs overlooking bays, and ravines. The 'Island of eternal spring' is just what you need if you arrive fresh from your Journey!
