08 August - 15 August 2025

Post-Tall Ships Races: sailing to Belgium. Embark on a week-long delivery trip with Patricia from Esbjerg, the final port of the Tall Ships Races, to Oostende. Sail along the picturesque coastlines of Denmark, the Netherlands, and Belgium, enjoying the expanse of the North Sea. Spend your time on board making new friends, acquiring new skills, and immersing yourself in the beauty of sailing. Whether you’re unable to participate in the Tall Ships Races or seeking a sustainable way to return home from Denmark, this delivery trip offers a unique opportunity for a memorable sailing adventure.
This journey is open to all Windseekers aged 18 and above.
While food onboard during sailing is included, meals during port visits are at your own expense.

Ports

Esbjerg is a beautiful coastal city in the South-West of Denmark, with the second biggest harbour in Denmark - a lively place full of fishing and shipping activities. You can observe the town's maritime history in its attractions: from the Fisheries- and Maritime Museum, Esbjerg Skibet statue to the Men at Sea monument, everything brings you back to the sea. Visit also the Ribe Vikinge Center, a fun outdoor museum where you will meet the Vikings themselves!

Oostende is a seaport and tourist destination on the Belgian coast. The original belle époque architecture was largely destroyed by two world wars (and the advent of mass tourism), but the city still has plenty of worthwhile sights to see, such as the Mu.ZEE, the Petrus and Paulus church, and the fort Napolean. Visit one of the museums, check out the lively cultural agenda, and step in a Belgian tavern for a ‘pinteke’. And don’t forget the beach, which can be crowded in the summer!

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
