Santa Maria Manuela:
Santa Cruz de Tenerife (ES) - La Gomera (ES) - Santa Cruz de Tenerife (ES)

22 November - 29 November 2023

Prolong your summer with a November sailing trip in the Canary Islands! This voyage will take you from the bustling and rugged island of Tenerife, to lush La Gomera and on to La Palma known as “La Isla Bonita”, before returning to Tenerife. Spend the first two days at sea, learning the ropes of the Santa Maria Manuela, and finding your sea legs. There will be plenty of time to get involved in the sailing, from helming to trimming sails and from navigation to going aloft. After a two-day crossing, anchor off the beautiful island of La Gomera and take time to explore the interior. The World Biosphere Reserve and Starlight Reserve of La Palma soon calls after a short passage to the northernmost Canary Island. The island offers a wide scenic and climatic diversity. Set the course back towards Santa Cruz, Tenerife where you’ll enjoy the deck BBQ with the rest of the crew, before disembarking the following morning.
When planning flights please bear in mind that we are granted no flexibility from the customs authorities in relation to the embarkation and disembarkation times.
For Windseekers aged 14-80 years (trainees younger than 18 have to be accompanied by an adult).
Different cabins available: contact info@windseeker.org to enquire.

Ports

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the shared capital of the Canary Islands, together with Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The central square Plaza de España is a real eye-catcher, situated between the ocean and the old, bustling city centre. Lose yourself in the crowded alleys, find a spot on one of the terraces, or leave town and discover the rugged volcanic landscape. The museum of Nature and Man is worth a visit. Chances are you’ll find pilot whales in the waters around Tenerife, so keep an eye out!

STO Garant

This Journey is covered by the STO Garant guarantee. You can find the conditions for this guarantee scheme on STO Garant’s website (www.sto-garant.nl/en/downloads).

This process is automatic and you do not need to do anything else. After receiving your booking, Windseeker will send you detailed information on how and when to pay for your journey – together with all the other important details.

What does it mean?

In short: you do not pay the booking amount to Windseeker but instead into an escrow account. This trust account holds your payment in reserve until your journey’s end. The booking amount is then released to Windseeker on the day after your trip ends. If Windseeker or the Ship should become financially insolvent before the end of your trip, STO Garant will implement the guarantee. The Guarantee Scheme details how you can make a claim under the guarantee in such cases. You can read more about this here.
