Non-stop crossing to Horta in the Azores. For people who like to do an Atlantic Crossing with sailing! On Tuesday April 14th you will come on board of the Clipper Stad Amsterdam in Miami, U.S.A. This large city in the state of Florida, in the southeast of the United States, is one of the most trendy cities in the world. Every year many tourists from various places enjoy the perfect mix of Caribbean temperament and American prosperity. Miami Beach, Bayside Marketplace, the marina, the Freedom Tower, Coconut Grove, Coral Cables and the beautiful nearby “Everglades National Park” are just a few of the highlights that will make a visit to this town more than worthwhile. The long non-stop crossing to Horta in the Azores will start the next morning. The true sailing enthusiast will definitely get what he or she is looking for. The dolphins tumbling near the ship’s bow, the beautiful clouds, the colorful rainbows, the sun’s rise and fall but also the peace and freedom of the open sea will make you relive the old days. An unique chance to admire the Clipper in all her glory. We expect to arrive in Horta three weeks later on the early morning of May 5th. Horta is situated in the western part of the Archipelago of the Azores on the island of Faial. Here you may choose to fly home from the small airport in Horta or you may decide to join us in sailing to Monaco on the French Riviera which will take another 2 weeks. For over a month on board of the Clipper Stad Amsterdam while crossing the Atlantic Ocean, will be a most unique and unforgettable experience. Open to all ages, minimum age 15 years.
