Join Thalassa in Troon, Scotland, and set course across the Irish Sea to Dublin. After a day of exploring the city, continue to the Scilly Islands – during this leg you’ll experience the thrill of a more challenging sail. Your destination will reward you with stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and pristine nature, perfect for coastal walks. The next stop is Dartmouth, a charming port town in Devon, before Thalassa crossese the English Channel to Alderney, located 15 km off the coast of Normandy. This Channel Island boasts serene beaches, picturesque harbors, and a rich history. Depending on the tides, you may also visit Cherbourg before embarking on the final leg to Le Havre, where preparations for the Tall Ships Races will be underway. While your journey doesn’t include the event, you can extend your stay by booking a hotel to enjoy the festivities.

Ports

Troon, situated on the west coast of Scotland, is famous for its Royal Troon golf course, one of the hosts to the Open Golf Championship. The course is chosen to host this annual event roughly every seven years. The Duke of Portland took the existing natural harbour on the north side of the headland and added docks. Troon has over the past few years become a popular place for kitesurfing. The strong winds coming from the Atlantic and from the north down the Firth of Clyde make it an ideal spot.

Le Havre is a large north French maritime commercial and passenger port established in the early XVI century. The city in on the UNESCO World Heritage Site for its historical buildings and is considered a birthplace of impressionism. Walk in the steps of Monet and discover the places you know from modern art. Take a hiking tour, visit one of the nearby castles (chateau), the Graville abbey, see the hanging gardens or take a walk in one of the many city parks.
