Twister:
Saint Martin (MF) - Rotterdam (NL)

30 March - 07 May 2025

*Special discount for trainees under 30.* Board the Twister on Saint Martin and roll up your sleeves to raise the sails. The trade winds will take you to Bermuda in about six days. Spend a few days exploring, before setting course for the Azores. Sail the Atlantic Ocean in watches, taking shifts to steer and navigate day and night. Take a dip in the middle of the ocean when the wind dies down, and trim the sails when it picks back up. Try your hand at fishing tuna, and enjoy the rhythm of days on board, rolled by the long ocean waves. Stop on the Azores, a traditional port of call for sailors crossing the Atlantic, before heading for Europe. Take a short stop in Channel Islands to celebrate your successful crossing of the ocean, a feat to be proud of, before reaching your final destination in the Netherlands.
Open to all Windseekers, trainees younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult (please note that this is not a youth voyage and we expect a big variety of ages on board). Meals on board are vegetarian, but you can indicate if you would like to have the occasional fish or meat dish on the menu.

Ports

Saint Martin is a Caribbean island, divided into a Dutch part and a French part. Its warm climate will help you adjust to the pace of life on the island, but if you want to do more than sip piña coladas, you'll find plenty to do. Visit the old fort St. Louis, overlooking Marigot bay, the French Quarter (Orleans), and Paradise Peak. Or stand at Princess Juliana Airport where you can nearly touch the planes as they fly over you. Discover the beautiful beaches of Simpson Bay and swim in the ocean.

Rotterdam is the largest port of Europe, and a modern, bustling town. Much of the historic city centre was destroyed during World War II, but extensive rebuilding resulted in a modern, multicultural city with many architectural highlights. Rotterdam has excellent cultural facilities and a diverse nightlife; during the summer the city hosts a large number of events. Discover the city by bicycle and go for a coffee in Hotel New York, the former headquarters of the Holland America Line.
